Seamless Wall and Ceiling Restoration After HVAC Work

Installing or repairing a heat pump is a smart upgrade—but it often means cutting into walls and ceilings to run new lines, access ductwork, or mount units. When the HVAC team is done, you’re often left with multiple holes, cuts, and patches that need professional finishing.

Gordon Drywall and Painting steps in after the heat pump work is complete to restore your home. We provide expert drywall repair, ceiling patching, texture matching, and painting—so your walls and ceilings look just as good as they did before the installation.

Wall Repair After Mini-Split Installation

Mini-split systems require refrigerant lines to be run through interior walls. We patch and refinish any drywall that was cut to install the indoor units or run line sets, restoring a clean, finished appearance.

Ceiling Patching From Attic Access

Installing a ducted or multi-head system often involves accessing ceiling cavities or attic spaces. Once the HVAC work is done, we repair and repaint ceiling cuts, ensuring smooth texture and consistent finish.

Repair Around Condensate Drain Routes

Some systems require routing a condensate line through drywall or trim. We seal, patch, and repaint those areas so there’s no visual evidence left behind from the installation.

Clean Finishing After Electrical Access Work

If your HVAC technician needed to cut into walls to install a new breaker, thermostat line, or service panel, we provide drywall repair and texture matching to make the space look brand new again.

Complete Wall and Ceiling Restoration After Heat Pump Installation

Whether it’s a new mini-split system or a replacement for an older unit, heat pump installation typically involves:

  • Cutting into drywall to run refrigerant or electrical lines

  • Creating openings for indoor unit placement

  • Making ceiling cuts to reach attic or crawlspace areas

  • Cutting access holes for condensate drains and sensors

Once the system is up and running, these areas need to be patched, retextured, and repainted—work that’s beyond the scope of your HVAC contractor, but well within ours.

Our Post-Installation Repair Process

1. Inspection and Estimate
We walk through all impacted areas and provide a quote for drywall patching, finishing, and paint work. Whether it’s two cuts or twenty, we scale our repair to your needs.

2. Framing, Drywall Patching and Repair
We Frame around any areas that cannot be hidden within the current drywall. For larger openings, we also reinforce framing as needed to ensure long-lasting repairs. We cut clean lines, install new drywall sections, and properly tape, mud, and sand each area.

3. Painting & Texturing Matching
We then finish each drywall repaired area with primer to make sure everything is sealed. Then the affected ceilings get painted completely to match the existing color. If your ceilings are textured—such as knockdown, orange peel, or popcorn—we then match/blend the affected ceilings completely. Finally, all the affected walls get color matched and painted fully to make sure you can’t tell there was ever any work done to begin with.
